NEXZ earned the first music-show No. 1 of its career on the May 6, 2026 episode of MBC M’s “Show Champion,” winning with “Mmchk.” The NEXZ First Win came during promotions for the group’s second single album, also titled “Mmchk,” which was released on April 27.¹²

“Mmchk” was released on April 27 as NEXZ’s second single album. Korea JoongAng Daily covered NEXZ’s April 27 press showcase for “Mmchk” at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan District, Seoul. The outlet reported that the single arrived six months after “Beat-Boxer.”⁶

At the showcase, Hyui described the title by saying, “‘Mmchk’ represents the sound we make as we move.” So Geon said the word is “like a sign of our presence, like saying, ‘Please look at us,’” according to the same report.⁶
