CORTIS’ second mini album GREENGREEN recorded 2,313,291 copies in first-week sales, putting the group’s latest release at the center of a major K-pop album sales update. The CORTIS first week sales figure placed GREENGREEN at No. 1 on Hanteo Chart’s weekly album chart and made it the second-highest first-week total among K-pop albums released in 2026, behind BTS’ fifth full-length album Arirang. 1
The album, released on May 4 at 6 p.m., marks a sharp rise from CORTIS’ first mini album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, which sold 436,367 copies in its opening week after release in September 2025. 1 The new total is more than five times that earlier first-week result, confirming a steep expansion in early album demand for the Big Hit Music boy group.
CORTIS ‘GREENGREEN’ First Week Sales

The first-week total for GREENGREEN was reported at 2,313,291 copies based on Hanteo Chart data. Sports Chosun reported that the album topped the weekly album chart with that figure, while Star News separately confirmed the same first-week number in its May 12 coverage of CORTIS’ ACAI music video release. 1 2
The sales result followed a large preorder base. Before release, GREENGREEN had reached 2,397,188 preorders as of April 30, based on figures attributed to Big Hit Music and album distributors YG Plus and Universal Records. 3 4 Star News reported that preorders passed about 1.22 million seven days after reservation sales began, then exceeded about 2.02 million by the eighteenth day. After the early release of REDRED, another 347,133 preorders were added over ten days. 4
The preorder and first-week figures are not identical measures. Preorders indicate advance demand before an album’s release, while first-week sales track copies sold during the initial release-week window under Hanteo’s chart system. In this case, the figures show that GREENGREEN entered release week with a large advance order base and converted that momentum into a chart-topping first-week total.

From Preorders To Release Week
GREENGREEN was introduced as CORTIS’ second mini album, with a six-track lineup including the title track REDRED, as well as TNT, ACAI, and YOUNGCREATORCREW. 3 The release followed the April 20 pre-release of REDRED, which became an early driver of attention before the full album arrived.
On April 30, CORTIS won its first music-show trophy since debut with REDRED on Mnet’s M Countdown. Star News reported that the song, which was then the title track of the still-upcoming GREENGREEN, had also entered Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global, making CORTIS the first boy group debuted within the previous five years to do so. 5
The members’ brief acceptance remark after the music-show win was reported as: “It does not feel real. We love CORE so much.” 5 The quote reflected the group’s immediate response to the win, but the sales record itself was confirmed later through the album’s first-week tally.
The album’s broader creative concept had been outlined earlier at an April 20 showcase held at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Star Today reported that CORTIS described REDRED through the contrast between “GREEN,” representing the direction the team pursues, and “RED,” representing what it distances itself from. 6 James said the group “wanted to create a new texture, a raw feeling,” while Geonho said he felt the song gained strength when the lyrics were completed. 6
‘ACAI’ Extends The Album Cycle
After the first-week sales period, CORTIS continued the GREENGREEN release cycle with the music video for the album track ACAI. The video was released through the HYBE Labels YouTube channel at 9 p.m. on May 11. 2
Star News reported that ACAI was inspired by acai bowls the members ate daily while working on the new album. All members participated in writing and composing the song, while Martin and Seonghyeon were credited as producers. 2 Those details align with earlier coverage describing CORTIS’ involvement across music, video, choreography, and other content areas connected to the album. 6

The confirmed numbers place GREENGREEN as CORTIS’ largest first-week album result so far and one of the strongest K-pop album openings of 2026. With 2,313,291 first-week copies, a No. 1 weekly album chart position, and a preorder count that approached 2.4 million before release, the album’s commercial performance marks a major step up from the group’s previous first-week benchmark.
