The family connection has been a major reason the story drew public interest, but the reports do not say that it determined Jeongyeon’s next agency. They describe it as a relevant context around Baro Entertainment, not as proof of a final decision.

JYP Says Renewal Discussions Are Still Ongoing

JYP Entertainment’s position remains that talks are continuing. In OSEN’s report, a JYP Entertainment representative said the company is “continuing discussions” with Jeongyeon during the renewal discussion period.¹
