A Brazilian woman accused of stalking BTS member Jungkook has received a one-year prison sentence suspended for two years in a Seoul court ruling. The case, widely discussed under searches for “Jungkook stalker,” centered on repeated visits to the singer’s residence, alleged residential intrusion, and violations of police-ordered restrictions.1
The Seoul Western District Court sentenced the woman, identified only as A, after she was indicted on charges including violation of South Korea’s stalking punishment law and residential intrusion. Multiple Korean outlets reported the suspended sentence on June 22, 2026, with the ruling described as a first-instance decision.2
Jungkook Stalker Sentencing Details

Lawtalk News reported that Judge Park Ji-won of the Seoul Western District Court sentenced A on May 8, 2026, to one year in prison, suspended for two years. The defendant was described as a Brazilian national who had been detained and indicted over the alleged stalking and intrusion incidents.1
Newsis also reported that the Seoul Western District Court Criminal Division 1, presided over by Judge Park Ji-won, handed down a one-year prison term suspended for two years. The same report said A was accused of visiting Jungkook’s residence 22 times between December 7 and December 28, 2025, ringing the doorbell, loitering nearby, or leaving objects.2
According to YTN, the court considered that A committed another stalking offense while subject to a measure barring approach, but also considered sentencing factors including that the conduct was not found to have a harmful purpose and that A would be deported from South Korea once the ruling becomes final.3
Money Today reported that the court also weighed A’s roughly three months in custody and the possibility of compulsory deportation after the judgment becomes final, concluding that the likelihood of reoffending was not high.4
The court nevertheless noted the seriousness of the conduct. Lawtalk News quoted the bench as saying that “the victim wants severe punishment,” while Money Today reported a similar sentencing point that the victim had petitioned for strict punishment of the defendant.14
Repeated Visits, Doorbell Ringing and Intrusion Allegations
The allegations described in the reports involve repeated approaches to Jungkook’s home in Seoul’s Yongsan district. Lawtalk News reported that A visited the residence 22 times over roughly one month from December 7, 2025, and that on December 12 she pressed the doorbell 133 times.1
Other reports described the conduct over a shorter December window. Newsis and YTN reported that A was accused of visiting the residence 22 times from December 7 to December 28, 2025. Newsis said the alleged actions included ringing the doorbell, wandering near the home, and leaving items.23
Money Today reported that on the first day of the alleged conduct, A pressed the doorbell 13 times in succession over about 20 minutes. The same report said she was accused of repeatedly standing around or watching near the home, causing anxiety and fear to the victim.4
The residential intrusion allegation centered on an incident involving a delivery worker. Dong-A Ilbo reported that A was found to have watched a food delivery worker enter through a side gate, waited nearby, and then entered after the delivery worker came out.5
Money Today reported a similar detail, saying A entered the interior on December 13 by using the moment when a delivery worker was entering or exiting.4
Police Measures and Earlier Indictment
The case did not begin with the sentencing reports in June. Yonhap News TV reported in March 2026 that the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office’s Women and Children Crime Investigation Division had detained and indicted a Brazilian woman in her 30s on charges of violating the stalking punishment law and residential intrusion.6
At that earlier stage, prosecutors said A had visited Jungkook’s home more than 20 times between December 2025 and January 2026, ringing the doorbell or leaving mail. Yonhap News TV also reported that A had been arrested once in December 2025 and released, but continued the alleged conduct afterward.6
The later sentencing reports similarly emphasized that police intervention did not stop the alleged conduct. Newsis reported that after police imposed an emergency measure barring A from approaching within 100 meters, she again went to the residence in January 2026 and left photographs and printed materials.2
Dong-A Ilbo reported that the court said the conduct continued after police warnings and that A failed to comply with emergency measures. Lawtalk News likewise reported that the court considered the failure to follow warnings and emergency measures when assessing the case.51
The ruling leaves the defendant with a suspended sentence rather than immediate imprisonment, based on the court’s stated sentencing considerations. The reports available identify the sentence, the charges, the repeated visits, the alleged intrusion, the police restriction issue, and the court’s view that deportation after finalization was a relevant factor.

The case remains defined in public reporting as a first-instance Seoul court decision involving stalking and residential intrusion allegations against a Brazilian national. Based on the reported judgment, A received a one-year prison sentence suspended for two years, with the court balancing the repeated nature of the conduct and the victim’s request for strict punishment against factors including the absence of a confirmed harmful purpose and expected deportation after the ruling becomes final.
